Welcome to Wonderpunk Vintage Retro Funny T-shirts blog! The 70's and 80's were golden eras for funny slogans - and today, we recognise and celebrate their genius!
While our range is primarily inspired by the vintage and retro era, we also like the 90’s and modern influence reflective of a post vintage and retro era.
Easy fellas... this could get nasty. Little Man Promotions knows how put on a good show - this time round it's a grudge match between two old foes, Mr Bump and Mr Silly. The latter has been running off his mouth about the the former's family. And so, this time ...it is personal.
Don't miss the celebrity match-up of the millenium. They might be little, but they sure know how to put on a show. So let's get ready to rumble!!
The octopus strikes back! This retro tshirt is inspired by the classic 1980's Game & Watch game - Octopus. Classic stuff.
In an epic battle of man vs beast, it looks like the beast takes the points on this occasion. However, in due time, man shall return and conquer... and what a celebration it will be. Anyone for squid?
Common household electrical items are no stranger to unconventional distribution methods. The saying, 'fell off the back of a truck', generally relates to goods that, well... let's say are unlikely to have been obtained in an altruistic fashion. Yet, any individual who uses the rear of a truck as their showroom probably isn't the type to bring home for a hot meal and pleasant chit-chat about current affairs.
The clandestine alleyway trade, and its associated sayings, are by no means unique to Australian soil however. The English have their own adaptation of the 'fell of the back of...' saying, substituting the word truck for 'lorry'. In the U.S., Seinfeld parodied the street trade in an episode involving the the distribution of shower heads. If this was any indication, product variety abounds - the next big thing need not necessarily be a car stereo or home theatre system!
While the prices are likely to be bargain basement, the caveat emptor lies in the inability to return dysfunctional items, not because you weren't issued a receipt, but because the vendors seems to enjoy traveling, and as such are frequently on the move.
Nowadays, electrical appliances aren't the only objects to fall off the back of trucks. It's become a popular pastime activity for people, as evidenced below.
Has deforestation taken a back seat on the social agenda in recent years, amid the wars, financial crises and anything else the media has a momentary fixation on?
I remember the good old days when it wasn't uncommon to flick on the evening news and see a couple of dishevelled protesters strapped to the base of a 40 ft Pine. I'd watch eagerly, hoping for some confrontation. In the eyes of their supporters, they were martyrs. To their critics, they were ferals.
I suppose the topic is as much at the forefront today as it ever has been, only now it's discussed in the broader context of climate change. Whilst logging per se hasn't been on my radar for a while now, I take comfort in the knowledge that the likes of Greenpeace and The Wilderness Society continue to fight for a tree's rights!
The Reformed Loggers Society is a support group for former ax men.Though they live with the sap on their hands of scores of tree fatalities, there is a hope.
Just because Bruce wasn't big on t-shirts in the heat of battle, doesn't mean you have to be. Clearly he was a fit guy, but many aren't. So err on the side of caution and keep a little Bruce close to your chest. Who knows, the next time you're at the Colosseum (where this scene was shot), you may need it.
